I was recently commissioned to produce my representation of the amazing rail viaduct and aqueduct just outside Marple in the Peak District. The results viewed here were a little bit of labour of love for me. To capture the essence of these two magnificent Victorian structures was tough. I was keen to represent the way they nestle amongst the mature trees in the valley.

This print was created using four layers of colour. I love the vivid red/pink of the structures and how they contrast with blue/green blend of the trees. I’ve then added a deep blue layer of detail, shade and texture. Overall I’m really happy with the finished result.
